Just Chillin'

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Scrapper's April sketch #305. The photos are of my daughter and her big black horse Hugo. The pattern papers, ephemera and enamel dots were from Simple Stories' 'Winter Wonderland' collection. Love this line. The colors are so soft and pretty. Perfect for outdoor winter photo shoots. The large snowflake, wreath and flower cluster were fussy cut from the journal cards in the collection. Below are some close ups and the sketch. There are a ton of gorgeous layouts on the CS blog so make sure to have a peek. Thanks for stopping by.

Scrap Our Stash April Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Hey everyone. Time for another Scrap Our Stash reveal. This is for the April Tic Tac Toe Challenge. The photo is a selfie my niece took last summer. Beautiful!!! The lilies were made from Heartfelt Creations' stamps and dies. The pattern paper was also from Heartfelt.

The chipboard hearts, lattice and title were from Creative Embellishments. For the lattice and title, I first colored them with black distress ink. Once dry I painted on some clear Wink of Stella for a very cool look.

For the challenge, I used the vertical column on the left: border punch, stitching and the color yellow. Make sure to have a look at the SOS blog if you are in need of some inspiration. Thanks for stopping by!!

All Bundled Up

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches March 15th sketch. I used Carta Bella's 'Warm & Cozy' pattern paper. For the background I stamped some circles using distress ink and a styrofoam cup. I then splattered some distress stain around. Finally I applied some modeling paste with a Tim Holtz snowflake stencil. Turned out rather well.

The cute little wood veneer snowflakes were from Studio Calico and the buttons were from my stash. Lots of stitching to finish things off.  Have a look at the SS blog as there is always a lot of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

The flowers were fussy cut from pattern paper. I embossed half of the little wood veneer heart from Maya Road. The sequins were from Studio Calico and Teresa Collins. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Dream Big

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches March 1st sketch. The pattern papers, diecuts, stickers and chipboard buttons all came from Bobunny's 'Beautiful Dreamer' collection.  For the background I applied gesso first and then added the watercolors. I used bundled sage distress ink as the green for the background. It is a very light green and is difficult to see in the picture..... but it is there. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by!!!
